Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide skilled therapy services focused on communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders within assisted living settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations, treatment sessions, 30-day reassessments, re-certifications, and discharges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Perform clinical swallow evaluations and recommend diet modifications as appropriate
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation in an electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Manage a full caseload (28–32 visits per week for full-time positions)
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Strong knowledge of dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders
- Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused mindset
Preferred:
- Experience working with geriatric populations
- Experience in assisted living or post-acute settings
