Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide skilled therapy services focused on communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders within assisted living settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations, treatment sessions, 30-day reassessments, re-certifications, and discharges
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
  • Assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Perform clinical swallow evaluations and recommend diet modifications as appropriate
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
  • Maintain accurate documentation in an electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Manage a full caseload (28–32 visits per week for full-time positions)

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Strong knowledge of dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders
  • Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Compassionate and patient-focused mindset

Preferred:

  • Experience working with geriatric populations
  • Experience in assisted living or post-acute settings
