Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help residents improve their ability to perform daily living activities and maintain independence.
Locations- Westerville and Columbus Split
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with ADLs, IADLs, fine motor activities, and functional mobility tasks
- Support cognitive and upper extremity rehabilitation programs
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and safety strategies
- Accurately document treatment sessions and patient progress in the EMR system
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active state OTA license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused mindset
Preferred:
- Experience working with geriatric populations
- Experience in assisted living or post-acute care settings
